Short list, firmly held
Everything here is either a legal requirement or a genuine safety risk in a sealed vehicle on a mountain road.

Prohibited
Never carried, at any price
These are refused at collection. There is no surcharge, no special handling and no contract term that changes it.
Cash and negotiable instruments
Banknotes, bearer cheques, money orders and anything payable to the holder. We carry cash on delivery collections, which is a different thing entirely — that money is ours to move under a manifest.
Precious metals and stones
Gold, silver, loose gemstones and bullion in any quantity. Finished jewellery below Rs 25,000 declared value is accepted with insurance.
Narcotics and controlled substances
Including prescription medicines being sent without a pharmacist’s documentation.
Weapons and ammunition
Firearms, parts, ammunition, khukuri above ceremonial size, and anything designed as a weapon.
Explosives and flammables
Fireworks, gas cylinders, lighters in bulk, petrol, thinners, and aerosols above personal quantity.
Corrosives and toxic chemicals
Acids, industrial cleaners, pesticides and laboratory reagents.
Live animals and biological material
Including birds, fish, insects, and untreated animal products.
Human remains and body parts
Including ashes. These require a specialist service we do not operate.
Counterfeit goods
Anything infringing a trademark, and any pirated media.
Obscene or seditious material
As defined under Nepali law.
Perishables without cold chain
Fresh meat, dairy, and anything requiring refrigeration. Dry, shelf-stable food is fine.
Anything unlawful under Nepali law
This clause exists because a list can never be exhaustive, and the law moves faster than a website.

Carried, with the right paperwork
These move perfectly well once the documentation is attached. Tell us at booking rather than at the loading bay.

Installed in a device only. Loose cells and power banks above 100 Wh are refused.

Licensed sellers only, with excise documentation, and not to districts where sale is restricted.

From a licensed pharmacy, with the prescription or invoice attached to the consignment.

Requires a quarantine certificate on inter-province movement of seed and plant material.

At collection
Refused at your bay beats seized on the highway
The rider or driver checks before loading. It occasionally causes an awkward conversation at your counter, and it is far better than the alternative for both of us.

- A refused item goes back to you on the spot wherever we lawfully can.
- Recorded against the booking
- So there is no dispute later about what was refused and why.
Declare honestly
One undeclared item voids cover for the whole consignment
This is the clause worth reading twice. If an undeclared prohibited item causes a seizure or a penalty, the insurance on the legitimate goods travelling with it goes too.
- Cover follows the declaration
- A false declaration is a breach of the carriage terms, and cover is voided by it.
- Penalties are the sender’s
- Any fine or forfeiture arising from an undeclared item is indemnified by the sender.
- When unsure, ask
- A two-minute call costs nothing. A seized pallet costs a great deal.
Why lithium
A battery fire in a sealed truck on a mountain road
Loose lithium cells are the single most common cause of freight fires worldwide. In a sealed vehicle on a hill route with no turning space and no fire service, that is not a risk we will price.

- A phone, a laptop, a power tool. The casing and the circuitry are the mitigation.
- Loose cells are refused
- Including 18650s, replacement packs and unbranded power banks.
- Above 100 Wh, refused
- Regardless of packaging or how carefully it is declared.
Fragile is not prohibited
Glass and ceramics travel — they just travel differently
Fragile items are welcome with the fragile surcharge, which buys a segregated lane and last-on-first-off loading. We will also tell you how to crate something before you send it.
- Crating advice, free
- It is cheaper than a claim for both of us.
- Insurance strongly advised
- Basic liability of Rs 5,000 is not adequate for a pallet of tiles.
- Photographed at collection
- Condition captured, which settles most disputes before they start.
Packing
Adequate packing is your responsibility
Damage caused by inadequate packing is not covered, and that is not a technicality — a single-wall box on a Karnali road will not survive, and no amount of care at our end changes that.
- Pack for unsealed roads
- Not for a courier van on a motorway. The last leg is often gravel.
- Fill the void
- Movement inside the box is what breaks things, and it also increases your volumetric weight.
- Label every piece
- A consignment split across six cartons needs six labels.
Weight and size
The other limits worth knowing
Not prohibitions, just the physical bounds of the network. Anything beyond them is a cargo booking or a dedicated vehicle.
- 30 kg per parcel
- On standard and express. Above that it becomes a cargo booking.
- 1,000 kg per consignment
- On cargo. Beyond that we quote a dedicated vehicle per job.
- Rs 200,000 COD per parcel
- Higher amounts need advance notice so the route can be planned safely.
